Oishi Pan Comes to Ngee Ann Polytechnic

From sweet to savoury, the bakery boasts a selection of over 20 different types of pastries and switches up their menu every other day.

Well-loved Oishi Pan Bakery has opened its second outlet in Block 22 of Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), selling an array of hand-crafted pastries and fresh bread.

The bakery is known for its Japanese-style baking. One is the castella cake ($1.80 a slice) which comes in four different flavours: original, cheese, chocolate and matcha. Castella cake is a Portugese sponge cake that is now a speciality in Nagasaki.

The bestsellers in NP are the Oreo Cheese Bun ($1.30), Cream Puff ($0.80) and the Sausage Bun ($1.20).

The bestseller Oreo Cheese Bun is a combination of sweet and savoury – all encased in one pillowy bun.

At their original hole-in-the-wall outlet at Toa Payoh Lorong 6, more than half their baked products are marked with a green sticker, indicating that they are vegan-friendly. However, there are no green stickers at their stall in NP, so vegetarians or vegans might want to check with the stall owners about the ingredients first!
